Ben is an accomplished, zealous attorney who deploys creative techniques to obtain the best possible result for his clients. Prior to joining forces with the powerhouse of Alexander Shunnarah Injury Attorneys, Ben spent 12 years as an insurance defense attorney working for large insurance companies throughout Florida. During that time, he was no stranger to the courtroom and successfully defended clients in multiple jury trials around the State. After thousands of depositions, hundreds of mediations, and numerous trials, Ben came to the sobering realization that the extensive time put into those cases benefited only corporate shareholders. Winning felt good, but to win meant injured people went without any recovery.
A chance opportunity to talk with Alexander Shunnarah, the king of legal marketing, turned into an afternoon long phone call about the benefits of switching sides. The opportunity to fight for accident victims and join forces with a legal giant were ultimately too much to resist. In short, it was an offer he could not refuse. Ben left behind the defense world where he was a member of insurance defense organizations such as Defense Research Institute (DRI) and Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) to restart the Shunnarah Pensacola Office.
Ben’s practice focuses on representing individuals who have been seriously injured by the negligence and wrongdoing of others. After having worked extensively in the insurance industry for so many years, Ben is exceedingly knowledgable as to which arguments and positions are most effective in getting insurance companies’ attention and which tactics are wasted efforts. Such insider knowledge directly benefits injured clients in navigating the process to allow a larger and quicker recovery.
Ben obtained his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida and Alabama. When not practicing law, Ben enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Kristina, daughters Emma and Charlotte, stepsons, Gabe and Michael, and their two dogs.
